Fake News: Accepting, Sharing, and Correcting Misinformation
June 19th to June 22nd 2018, Vitznau, Switzlerand
This conference aims to shed light on what determines whether people accept and share “fake news” and what can be done to attenuate the influence of fake news through correction strategies. It brings together leading researchers from diverse disciplines, including (but not limited to) psychology, political science, law, and information sciences. The presentations will summarize what is known in the respective areas and discussions aim at identifying promising directions for future collaborative work. Our goal is to facilitate as much productive discussion as possible so that participants have the chance to network, and form new international research collaborations.
This meeting is made possible by generous funding of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).
We are looking forward to welcome you to Switzerland!
